(post-marked)
Dear Mom,

(typed form postcard) I have just arrived back in the United States.
The New York Port of Embarkation is doing its best to get me home in the shortest possible time, and I shall not be here long enough for you to get in touch with me.
You will hear from me just as soon as I clear the port.
(handwritten) I probably will call or be home before you get this but nothing lost by sending this Love Louie

From Aunt Rose Revzon: When Uncle Louie came home from the war it seems the streets were lit up and everyone was outside. It was early evening and he walked home from the train station over the foot bridge and down Pleasant St. He was thin and looked wonderful, he also carried the bags that they used for their luggage. I can still see us all on the porch and how happy every one was.
